Oh Sweet Bakersfield

We did it. We returned. On a road trip that included a botched landing, strandings in two different cities, four different hotels, a couple flight delays and the storms of the century, we're back.
CSUB men's basketball landed in LA last night, we then promptly learned no road home was open, apart from going out of the way 7 hours to the coast, we were stuck. We decided to get hotel rooms and hang out for yet another night. I was looking forward to getting home, seeing the soon to be wife and the dog, but again I had to go with the flow as did everyone else.
After taking off this morning with plans to head to long way around, we learned shortly into our drive that interstate 5 had opened over the Grapevine and the next thing you know...we're home. I arrived at the radio station at 2:10, enough to get my show together for ESPN Radio 1230 and go on the air...oh the life.
Still haven't actually made it "home" yet. Funny I had the team drop me off at the station without my own vehicle. Was expecting the soon-to-be MRS to come and get me, but now she's stuck with a project at work...stranded again.
